Bras 101
Not sure how to ask your mom/guardian for a bra? Or you want to learn about the different types of bras? Keep reading!
Asking your mom (or a guardian) for a bra can be an awkward/ uncomfortable experience. But now that you've grown out of your training bras, it's something that needs to be done.
Practice stating the question in front of a mirror. This way, you'll know exactly what you want to say with little misunderstandings. Say something like: 'Hey mom, I think I need a new bra!' 'Hey mom, I think I'm ready for a bra. Can we go shopping for one soon?' 'Hey mom, can I get a bra? _____(explain your reason why)_____' Don't be nervous! Your mother was once a young woman who needed a bra, and it's your turn now. Make sure you approach her with confidence, she'll be concerned if she sees you so nervous. Ask! Try to ask her when she's in a good mood alone. Maybe that's in the garden, reading, or during a walk. Drop a few hints. While at the mall purposely grab too small shirts and maybe she'll notice! Say 'mom this shirt is too tight' or 'mom i need a tank top under this'. Ask her to measure you and go shopping without your brother(s) and father. But if she says no, don't freak out! Ask another time, she'll buy you one eventually. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
