Periods At School
School is tough enough, but being on your period during class just adds more stress! Keep reading for some tips, and ways to prevent embarrassing accidents.
Don't worry! No one can tell if you're on your period or not, unless you tell them. Try not to make it obvious though, by holding your stomach, hunching over, groaning, etc.
If experiencing cramps, drink water and remember that you are tough! Cramps won't bring you down! The next morning you should take some medicine to help ease pain so you can focus better.
Always keep some extra pads/tampons with you. Pack a few in your bag even if you know that your period isn't starting soon, because its better to be safe than sorry.
Wear pads that completely cover your vagina. To avoid accidents make sure that the pad also covers your bum, since sitting down at a desk for hours at a time may cause your blood to be on the very end of your pad. If using tampons, it is recommended to wear a liner to be safe.
